* California has made it easier for single users up to $74,000 to receive assistance by offering state subsidies in addition to Federal. However, as of January 1st, California has reinstated the enrollment penalty, making health insurance mandatory.
** In Oregon, for individual and family health plans, you will use healhcare.gov. You may only use Oregon's exchange to enroll for Medicaid and/or the Children's Health Insurance Plan (CHIP).
The other part of the Health Exchange is the provision for those with incomes at 138% or below the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). The FPL changes each year.
Not all states accepted the Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act but in those that did, Jetter Insurance will assist you with enrollment at no cost to you.
Contact the county in which you live for more information.
